EdBox Taurus EHD SD/HD video encoder

EdBox present a new solution for broadcasting: EdBox Taurus EHD video encoder AVC and H.264.

The Video Encoder features a high-efficient H.264 compression core enables TV Operators to deliver top-quality HD video services over Satellite, Terrestrial, Cable TV, IPTV networks, Internet TV broadcasts. Taurus EHD video encoder allows a highest video quality at lowest possible bitrate. The form-factor is the industry-standard 1U rack-unit; the video encoder includes HD-SDI connetion in input and output in 1 RACK unit size.

The encoder supports the most common HD/SD video formats 1080i, 1080p, 720p, etc. Audio could be encoded into MPEG LII, AAC or Dolby Digital AC-3. The EDBOX Taurus EHD is managed over the customer-beloved EDBOX v.4 WEB remote control interface, or using the SNMP protocol.

Taurus Encoder features two versions:

EDBOX TAURUS EHD : LSI based HD/SD AVC H.264 1080p realtime encoder. No Noise, High image quality and low delay (less than 650 msec).4:2:0 chroma format, boot up in 60 sec. Video compatible for various formats such as 1080i, 1080p (optional),720p, 480i and 576i. AAC & MPEG 1 Layer II audio encoding, Dolby pass through. Easy operations with control buttons on the 4 line front display panel Builtin HTTP menu incl. EDBoX mapping, easy maintenance using SNMP function Video Input1 x HD/SD SDI, 1 x Video SDI Out, Streaming output : TS over IP or ASI up to 25 Mbps, WebBased Management, 4 lines frontpanel.

EDBoX HD/SD MPEG2 Encoder: Broadcast MPEG-2 MP@ML 4:2:2 realtime encoder, Resolution up to 1080i . TS / RTP over IP up to 50Mbps, Video IN SDI SD/HD Audio in analog +4db XLR (2CHA), AES-EBU XLR (2CHA), SDI embedded up to to 8 CHA, Web Based Management, 4 lines frontpanel, AAC HE v1/v2 & MPEG 1 Layer II audio decoding,
